Just to clarify: do you suggest that only components can be ordered, or finished items as well?
Because if you can orders finished items, crafting becomes effectively redundant.

122
Where is the option to activate the faster out of combat movement?
Press + on keyboard.

Added the ability to speed up the game while out of combat
Oh, yeaa.... Bast update ever!

Suggestions / Re: Suggestion!(RC Cars)
« on: July 05, 2019, 06:18:42 pm »
Ok, simple situation:
Your character walks into a building. It feels like there might be someone or something sneaking around. You immediately drop your RC car, walk into a corner and block the approach path to you with a trap/electrokinetic imprint.
The car goes to explore the building. What choice local crawlers have, exactly?
1) Attack the RC car? All the advantages it had from stealth are lost and the player is now free to engage it.
2) Ignore the car? Car will simply BUMP it out of stealth with high probability.
3) Try to find the player? Yea, path blocked by a trap, so not happening.

Notice how those crawlers are effectively neutered irregardless of cars detection skill, stealth skill, or any special abilities whatsoever.

You DO realize such a RC scout would just completely trivialize stealth enemies (including crawlers, spiders, etc) and traps?

Not just "help" against them (the way googles that increase detection do), but COMPLETELY neuter them.

Development Log / Re: Dev Log #61: Expedition Release Date

Now, we NEED a post mortem explaining why expedition took 3+ years to ship !
To be fair, 3 years seems like a pretty reasonable time to develop and test a major expansion with only a small team.

Great news! Day 1 purchase incoming.

By the way, any game-play changes planned for the experimental?
I'm contemplating one more run before expansion hits and wandering if the experimental will actually change anything significantly for that run.

Builds / Re: A Dominating (Ironman) Viable throwing ninja build

Your build won't be able to beat Tchort.

I can't find the STEAM thread but someone else tried a similar build (low CON throwing ninja) on Hard and failed to beat Tchort. With 3 CON you'll be one shot by Tchortling Scanner's Neural Overload. We tried everything and I mean everything we could think of for his char. You can only keep the Tchortling away for so long and you just can't do enough damage to beat Tchort before getting one shot.
Fascinating. What builds have enough DPS to kill Tchort despite being 3 CON?

Ultra high damage builds like sniper and probably energy pistol i'd expect would be able to take out Tchort in a single turn, meaning CON wouldn't matter.
Psions can usually kill Tchort within one turn as well.

Frankly, real-time UnderRail would just be a different game.
You'd have better luck taking some existing engine + game-mechanics that already support real-time combat and making an UnderRail-themed mod for it, rather than trying to make the current UnderRail work in real-time.

I am sure that IronMode must be integrated, like, for instance, in BattleBrothes game

Eh? What exactly do you need to play UnderRail in Ironman mode? It's literally as simple as not reloading saves...

Not using speedhack, but game always in background and after 90 minutes I do round trade.

Intellect 8 max Mer, Pic and Hacking, so I can open every box/door
60 pickp to steel almost everything
I repair every thing (cost more then 500) and sell it

I have all staff quality around 120 and +
9 burst for every gun
300+ every type of red/gree bullets and special bullets from 200 to 600
I have all blueprints
Over 50 IV level each type of grenades and IV mines
50+ 100 batteries
etc,

Overall - AR build with 8 INT = super mega unbalanced power. As a result = boring to play. And I decided to play pistol + sniper build on dominating. After 2 hours of playing also easy.

I want Super_Dominating level. Current game is so casual. But what can I do if I like rifles?
I want to cry about loosing every dollar and bullet. Afraid every wolf and human. And all of these during integrated IronMan mode.
Have you tried playing without reloads yet?

To get through dominating you'll need the best tools the game has to offer.

For psi, it's all about Locus of Control and Metathermics combos that include Thermodynamic Destabilization on enemies with lots of HP.
Don't forget the most overpowered ability ever: force field with force user.

Suggestions / Re: Suggestions of random encounters and status effects
« on: April 08, 2019, 07:16:07 pm »
I'm really not sure how random encounters during fast travel would interact with stealth/combat avoidance.
What exactly happens if the player just hides / tries to run away?
It could work similar to Fallout 1's random encounters, where Perception/Agility/Outdoorsman checks are used to determine whether you're placed in the middle of the enemies or at the edge of the map close to the exit.
But in UnderRail fast travel is travel via actual transport. What happens if the player managed to avoid combat, but the NPC driver/captain did not?

Also, random encounters in fallout 1/2 where really, REALLY poorly balanced. Basically anything from instant unavoidable death to just a ton of effectively free XP/loot was on the table.

« on: April 05, 2019, 07:11:57 am »
If you are trying to get pass the faceless blockade to northern underrail:
1) it's not possible
2) they never run out of reinforcements
3) killing faceless is a bad idea as that would turn all of them permanently hostile even in areas where they are neutral initially

General / Re: Just finished Underrail. Some questions. (spoilers!)

8. Who's the most powerful entity in the game (apart from Tchort, the Beast, and unkillable Godmen)? Gorsky? Faceless Commander? Eidein? Carnafex??
I would put some serious money on black crawler. 40 HP/turn regeneration + ability to simply crawl away to regenerate.
