Bugs / Cannot loot corpse
« on: March 10, 2020, 01:34:35 am »
I killed an enemy (Thug) with a molotov cocktail. He was lit on fire and ran off screen. I did not get a log notification for his death (probably as he was outside my vision).

After the fight I tried to loot the body, but the corpse appears over an obstruction in the scenery, and no matter where I try to click the cursor doesn't change to the "interact" icon.

I "made" (googled and cropped) this portrait for my character. The art style isn't quite the same as the rest of the game but I think it fits surprisingly well.

Only question I have left is when you say "compatible" does that mean you can you access all expansion areas and content with an excisting save from base game or is it like a Civ thing where the game works but the "ruleset" is different depending on whether you started the save before or after the installation of the expansion?
You should go read the Devlogs.  Styg answers that in Devlog 47:

b. You will be able to use the new mechanics while doing the old content, yes. The DLC will be a seamless part of the existing world. You can also do the new DLC content after finishing the original campaign, as long as you don't trigger the actual end-game sequence.
I think it's pretty unreasonable to expect new players to read 50 pages of devlog in hopes that their question might be answered somewhere along the way but thank you for providing the conclusive answer to my question.

Great game by the way.

When the DLC comes out you can jump into it on your current save.
Is there an official confirmation somewhere that the expansion will not require starting a new save? If so then that's great!

Does it count if I confirm it? Base game saves will be compatible with the expansion. But Qiox, as well others with purple forum "stars", are currently alpha testing the expansion, so you can take their word as semi-official confirmation.

That works for me. Only question I have left is when you say "compatible" does that mean you can you access all expansion areas and content with an excisting save from base game or is it like a Civ thing where the game works but the "ruleset" is different depending on whether you started the save before or after the installation of the expansion?

So if I still haven't properly started my first playthrough (I had played through the tutorial just when I noticed the expansion announcement) should I wait until the expansion comes out or is it an entirely separate experience? I don't have that much time to play video games, so I doubt I'll do multiple playthroughs any time soon.
