Maybe indirectly buff pistols by making riot gear shields reduce damage from projectiles?
Or give pistols chance to counterattack.

There are a few builds that I theorycrafted (but I don't have time to play them right now  >:(), it may be pretty fun to see how they work on Dominating:

Precognition and evasion together should make this tricky character very hard to hit.
While he's dancing through bullet fire, temporal distortion replicates between enemies to ultimately make him the only man standing on the battlefield.

Cameras cannot instantly detect you. When they see you, they become "alerted" (yellow color). You become spotted only when you stay in the camera FOV for a few seconds more.

You can stealth past security bots if your stealth rating is high enough. Also you can wait till one comes close and burst it with W2C, or buy a tactical vest and facetank their low caliber rounds.

Then the only option you have is to cheat  ;)
Install Cheat engine and increase your health to 100000.
If you liked the game you may want to beat it again with a solid min-maxed build and do different story choices, join different factions, etc. The game is highly replayable.

First things first, you should combine the mutagen and inject Tchort with it.

This will stop Tchort's ability to regenerate and will destroy part of his tentacles.
After that you should be able to burst him down with assault rifle.
Anyway, you managed to (almost) beat the game with highly unoptimized build, my salutations!

You've come to the right place, fren'.
This here build is focused on energy and chemical pistols and grenades. Regular pistols are pretty weak, unfortunately - not terrible, but not that good for a newblood, you dig?
Dexterity reduces the AP, needed to attack with light weapons (pistols, smg, knives, fists).
Also, it greatly increases the damage of your grenades through the Three-pointer feat.
Lastly, it allows you to have a high Guns skill through the Versatility feat and high melee score.

You can replace Opportunist or Point shot with Quick Tinkering - very strong feat, that allows you to place traps mid combat. However, chemical pistols can root enemies too, so in this build QT is not the best choice IMO.

Hello! Just registered on forums to answer your question.
I'm enjoying psi-rifle hybrid on hard oddity right now, and can give you some tips.
1. You can ditch crafting, evasion and throwing completely and invest into constitution, will and thought control instead. Well, throwing can be useful for molotovs and EMPs, but it certainly not required.
2. Don't rely on perception and motion tracking goggles when you are hunted by death stalkers. They are sneaky as hell and will ambush you no matter what. Instead wear riot gear and low frequency shield emitter and take their sting like a big boy.
3. You'll SUFFER without traps skill until you have MD goggles or shield device. Overall, investment in traps skill makes the game a lot more pleasant.
4. As far as I know, telekinetic proxy can be used to trigger ambush. Will test it in a few days.
