Maybe someone else as well. I do not know of consequences of giving that item to particular person.

You can also inform that you have this item Dude, Faceless Commander in Deep Caverns and Gunnar Edstrom of JKK, but they refuse to take it.

In terms of money, it seems that Aran pays the most - 15 thousands charons with my Mercantile = 0.

You do not need Broken-Off spike to get ethereal torch which is very useful against some otherwise invulnerable creatures.
I still wondering what Broken-Off spike for.
And about black shard, you need to go to Azif and he will produce torch from black shard for you.

When you have the torch - it is other quest - you can return there and kill all creatures of void and monolith as well.

Ferryman told me about body part - it was before I met Yngwar. Did not know that body part is different for each playthrough - my bad.

First of all, Yngwar can give you sketch with the rune.
Same rune is located at B11.
You have to go to the graveyard, locate Hoist mechanism with this particular rune next to it, operate it with the bone crank found in the cemetery (remember there is only one bone crank!), and then search the body in the left elbow.
