Is energy pistol guaranteed loot at Elwood? I remember sometimes I didn't get it

South of SGS, which means crossing the rail roads through "blue portal" underground passage? I think there's nothing around there, only an empty barrel at the end of track

Also, is there any guaranteed acid / Chem pistol somewhere this early? (although acid pistol might be useless pre-drill parts)

Ye, psi becomes much more fun after you unlock other town, since there's so much psi skills that could do many OP things, you can't get bored with the combination and possibility

I tried pure throwing today up to Depot A on hard-oddities. I'm surprised that it's actually quite decent. Although you have to use poison and many disable (net or pinning). I'll try checking on bladelings and Ironheads later.
From most of the throwing post on build forum, it seems that the end-game is most likely a combination of mines and grenade MKV w/ three pointer, which usually deletes most enemies, including last boss. Although poison proc is capable of dealing good enough damage, with long enough waiting time

You could just give up and use Cheat Engine to remove weight limit and speedhack, it honestly makes the game much, MUCH better, more than I've ever thought.

Suggestions / Riot Shield buff

Atm, there's almost no reason to use riot gear shield, due to absolute inferiority compared to Spear. It's also losing against Parry, which imo much better due to Dex scaling and works with any armor, also it works with swapping weapon, regardless of melee skills, which makes the blocking mechanic accessible to all type of weapon instead of just 1-handed

My idea to buff riot Shield (and hopefully doesn't translate to nerfing all other blocking source) is :
1. Add ranged attack blocking, which makes riot Shield much better and special compared to other block source
2. Removes 2-handed weapon restriction (could be tied with current feat such as Arm Shield, new feat, only accessible with certain shield type, or by default)
3. Adds "reflect melee damage" (either from additional mod using Spiked/serrated, Feat, or by default) alongside with blocking, which enables high CON turtle build around it

Any other idea is welcomed  :)

Don't worry too much about it. Makes sure to play on Normal / Easy difficulty until you grasp the general mechanic. Also, focus on Metathermics and Psychokinesis, they have the big number early on compared to other Psi School.

Tbh I recommend Tranquility build for beginner, it's much more "fun" compared to Psychosis, due to more lenient skill spamming vs min-max 1shot damage on Psychosis, which usually ends up just using very few skills to optimize psi usage

Remember that regardless of build, you still able to use bear trap.
Technically, you could clear SGS Outpost with only bear trap and stealth (and maybe some ranged attack to explode the barrel).
But for psi, cryokinesis should be good enough to stall them, and TK punch usually 1-shot / almost kill rathound

And with knife case, you could go with 3 STR and divert it to other place, while on psi monk, could put that to 7 Will for Force-User, or 3 STR 3 WILL high CON

Also, if you decided to run Persuasion, you could get shoddy shotgun (requires 20 persuasion). It's good enough until before Depot A (it's doable to run with shoddy shotgun, but it's not as satisfying as your modded shorty)
For sniper, imo it's good enough atm. Affordable early game, yet quite expensive, since it's good enough to 1-shot most of the things.

I made thread about riot shield few days ago, and the conclusion is  : it's sucks. So even sword n shield gimmick still sucks in the end
I did a test run yesterday, turns out carving is quite good if your character has lots of MP to Kite them, wasting their AP and makes them can't attack. It also indirectly saves you from heavy attacks due to AP reduction. The 15% crit bonus is also nice. I decided to run 5 str max dex, so I have lots of crit chance.

I suppose the advantage of sword is its high critical chance. Although idk if crit override hit chance, or vice versa. If it's former, I think it's really damn good, since it's might be possible to get 100% crit chance, thus removing RNG component for flurry and onslaught. Else, it's still sucks.

It's probably doable on windows phone / Xbox, since there's native support throughout Windows 10
Level cap removal has been suggested for years and will never be implemented, unless someone managed to crack down modding scene. Even CE can't even remove level cap afaik

All of the suggestion seems pretty OP. Better scaling and affected by Dex' Crit chance should be good enough imo. Maybe EMP knife to deal with robots (since there's EMP bolts, anyway), serrated throwing knife is also cool
Throwing gloves would be cool idea, which acts like Psi-band, improving throwing knife damage as well as throwing skill / crit chance / crit damage mod (for lore / game logic, it's a replica of ancient artifact known as P1P-BOY, an AI used to help aiming)
Feat-wise, I think throwing feat is good enough, the problem comes from low damage, which in turn makes fighting heavy armored guy a chore, since it can't even penetrate DT to makes use of poison proc (although ignoring mechanical DT/DR is absolutely OP)

Also, versatility affecting throwing skill would be OP, since it'll saves loads of throwing points, which essentially makes the skill redundant and makes any non-full-psi build has essentially super accurate throw.

Other than carve and parry/riposte gimmick, is there any other advantages that sword has compared to other melee? Spear has better block, sledgehammer has better damage potential, knife has better crits (also able to parry) and fist has better damage/AP. Also, sword has RNG dependency on Flurry and Onslaught, which makes it rather unreliable. Did I missed something?
