I was also trying to find a way to get her amber earrings without breaking the JKK questline, but seems like only pickpocket can do that.

I've always gone Oddity since I believe that's the "intended" way to play, but people tend to fall back to classic after many playthroughs, since it lets you skip content you don't want to do without penalizing your ability to reach max level.

If you intend on clearing most content, Oddity is fine. Note that I always play with Lockpicking/Hacking/Pickpocket myself, and Oddity is very rewarding for that playstyle (especially Pickpocket), while builds without thieving skills tend to level up slower. Without pickpocket, you often have to end up killing innocent NPCs to get their oddities, which might not be your thing.

Overall, I find Oddity to be one of the more interesting unique features of Underrail. It's been so fun to infiltrate well-guarded outposts freely (ie: without having a quest to do so) and be rewarded with unique oddities. It's just too bad non-DEX builds have to sacrifice so many skill points, I wish there were more STR/AGI/PER checks to get oddity duplicates for those other playstyles

During the third JKK mission, I killed Vivian after doing the chitchat but before activating the switch. Then, I activated the switch, fell under the floor... and that's it. Stuck in there. The mission is not failed.

IMO either the transition to the next floor should happen, or the mission should fail and the switch should not be usable.

Except that unlike electronics components, the wings do eat into the Mechanics requirement, which is the limiting factor for base damage. 80 Mechanics wings means 8 more skills points needed to make a spear out of the same metal plate. If you already have the electronics, adding an electric component to the spear has 0 penalty on its damage (10% for the energy component) - same Mechanics requirement.

I agree that it's pretty minor compared to the bonus you get, but I think having that penalty reflect the bonus you get to be more appropriate than removing the powered modules.

You can also pickpocket the keycard. Or just come back when your hacking is higher so you don't need the keycard. Or come back once your have TNT.

It's okay, if you craft a good spear now, nerfs won't affect it.

Spear Throw only DEX build with Pack Rathound (to carry more spears), Quick Pockets (to equip spears in combat more easily) is the new DOMINATING build

Speaking of the mainframe, I only realized this playthrough that it says that only 3 "Godmen" remain. I wonder if one of them is staying on their moon to be ready to fire at Leviathans that get too big, or if we'll get to see all 3 in sequels.

We got plenty of free "DLCs" as patches that add new dungeons and items, but Underrail won't be getting anything Expedition-sized. The next thing the team is working is a standalone game.

Underrail is plenty long enough, I think a new adventure with a new engine would be welcome.

Doing a spear throw dex build right now. With the new crafting component, maybe I'll go super steel to really make use of that extra range
Since I went 6 STR, I can only go Tungsten with the ratking coat (though still no Impale), so maybe SS is going to be the next best thing

Tichrome is less AP than Super Steel on all melee weapons, nothing special there.
I think Tichrome may just need a more significant damage difference

Can we use coal and lighters now? Maybe I've been blind this entire time, but I never found how to make fires, and always assumed it was useless. Now that we can get a nice buff out of it, I'm wondering if making fires is now part of the gameplay?

From my quick peek at the new dungeon, it seems like you can probably light the barrels there somehow, but I'm still too low level on this playthrough to explore it much.

The two-headed mutant can respawn if you've missed. Just come back every once in a while, he can reappear. I don't know about the DOMINATING rare spawns, I only play Hard

I'll repeat without toxicity, but the idea that Underrail is not replayable seems narrow minded. Underrail has very limited forced story exposition, and when there's dialog or cutscenes it's extremely easy to skip. Most of the time spent in your playthrough is more about learning to play the game. Since Styg is one of the few people on this planet who cares about making a balanced single player game, it's one of the games where making new builds will always present challenge, without feeling like you've crippled yourself (which happens with "meme builds" in other games) - at least on Hard. Your next playthrough will only have to spend time learning the new build and maybe exploring new places you'd missed before, while the content you've already figured out will pass like a breeze (benefits of 2d games, the pacing is much faster on the travel).

On the other hand, I hope you'll break free from this obsession with trying to clear all the pages on the wiki. The Internet is a useful tool when you hit a blocker, but when secrets go from being something you discover to being a checklist you feel forced to clear to the point of frustration, maybe it's healthier to let go.

Sad fate? In my endings at least, his ultimate fate is unknown, except that I'm pretty certain he made it through to the other side. Maybe I read it wrong, but I thought his entire plot was about how he broke free from the leviathan and therefore can be the first Sørmirbæren to leave the Black Sea
