Improve maps
« on: December 19, 2023, 08:33:44 am »
The mini maps are extremely hard to understand.
They are so badly designed they offer almost no benefit for players.

I open the minimap i can't understand where i am, where i am supposed to go, how the entire map fits together, which city is where, what the city layout is, and so on..
Probably the worst aspect of the game is the badly designed minimaps and difficulty understanding it. Even if you do understand it, it offers very little details, it's more like a plotted graph.

Please please make the minimaps more graphical, detailed, and better designed.

There are buttons to center the map on the player and to auto-center, I think the auto-center might not be on by default and it should be if it isn't.

People don't know where to go in core-city which is a huge area, they don't know how to navigate the caves and areas between cities..

I understand this might be a big change to add to the game.
But let's agree the current maps are extremely hard to navigate.
People are always lost, and have to resort to wiki pages, walkthroughs, and user drawn maps to understand where to go..

If i have a quest to go to a facility in lower caves, i have no idea how to get there.
Where are lower caves, or upper caves, or lower passages, or lower/upper metro, and how they are connected to the caves and the docks..

I like the small 3d map representations, leaves it up to the imagination. Getting lost in the big core city is also somewhat intended.
