At 60 mercantile, he sells the old world firearms for about 550 Charons.
The cost to refurbish items is around 700, and after discount 500.

So there's not point in buying the old world firearms disk, you just end up spending another 200-300 charons.

Also a question about his tier 1 - tier 2 shop.
I unlocked tier 1 shop and i get access to 150+ quality items.
What does tier 2 give? higher chance of high quality items?

It's only really worth buying if you plan to refurbish 3+ weapons in multiple categories on a guns build and especially on a shotgun/sniper/GL, but what are 200 charons extra for a huge power spike on your main gun if you can get access to myles as soon as you get the circuit board(on top of the lost opportunity cost of investing all those charons that early in the playthrough)

Yes, but also more special merchandise items are stocked driving up the chance even more

And as far as i remember, it's a one time discount and then you lose the item?

Thanks, double checked and you're right.
The discount is carried over to all weapons refurbished. So if you are refurbishing 2-3 weapons than it's a worthwhile investment.

I wouldn't say everything. You don't need a manual to refurbish weapons. The old world firearms just gives you a discount.
My mistake was that thinking it's a one time discount.
And you can get high quality 150+ special items in Constantine shop without tier 2 mercantile.
Tier 2 just offers a lot more high quality items.
