Expedition-Marcus quest (spoilers)

Hello everyone, I hope you are in a great state of mind.

 Now, I have a question about Marcus' quest, where he suggests trying to learn about the island's defense system.
No spoilers, just tell me if I'm in the right direction.

I found a Naga protector statue, which matches the name I found in the (Black Sea-Recovered MPC data), on Seeger's computer
the statue contained a broken core plasma, which I switched to a new one.

But the problem is that nothing happens, just give me an electronic problem message , and from there it starts to get more confusing.
So, I'm in the right direction or i

I managed to fix it, don't remember if it was with hacking or just more electronics.

I had to pass a hacking and an electronics skill check while fixing the naga.

yes, it was one of the things i suspected, but since i never get the error message for lack of skill i thought it was something else
that was missing, or someone i had to talk to.
