Dude's Quest - I think I screwed up
« on: January 25, 2019, 02:43:24 am »
Gonna try to keep this spoiler-free....

I went exploring before getting Dude's Quest and I actually found the area to complete it.  Now that Dude has officially given me the quest, I went to the area and it shows the containers to be empty.  But I don't have the item on me, and since I didn't know it was a "plot" item when I first found it, I can't figure out if I might have sold it or dropped it somewhere while overencumbered (thinking "oh, this item can't be important").

Does UR definitely list it as a Plot item?  If it does, then I shouldn't have been able to drop it or sell it by mistake, right?  And if I did sell it or drop it, will it still be wherever I sold/dropped it?

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Well, I found 1/2 of them on one of the locals, so obviously I bartered and sold some of them.  Is there anyplace specific where I could find more?

Ah, yeah....found the rest in my locker back at my private quarters.  I'm such a hoarder.  But what can I say?  I was raised on Sierra adventure games, where you could fit a minivan in your pocket.

20 mushroom brews, yeah. This is my first play through, and he's so whacked out on a regular basis, I'm kinda waiting to find his body later in the game, dead from an overdose.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. The Dude has seen things. The Dude knows.

But most importantly, the Dude abides.

(But seriously, you should take a second look at his dialogue. A lot of it actually makes sense, especially if you're part of a certain organization and have friends in deep places.)
