"Camera problems" quest

After informing Harland about smugglers and Stalker the quest ends. But the info here says the quest should contain an explorer bot part. Has this quest been changed?

Hmm, there had been no changes to the said quest (although, the wiki doesn't contain all of the information about it currently). Tell me a bit more about the way you've conducted the quest. After reporting back to Harland about the possible culprit, he should request from you to ask Harold about additional equipment for his guard post / investigation about the issue.

He didn't ask for anything, just talked to him and quest became finished. I think if you find only Stalker first and talk to Harland right away, he may tell you about the bot. But if you also visit a smuggler cave with plasma sentries and also tell him about smugglers, the quest ends. In other words, if you tell him all info at once (Stalker/smugglers) he will thank you and wil not give you a task with bot.

This behaviour is intentional. Indeed if you do all the discovery on your own, by figuring out the entrance to the cave and explore everything inside it, before informing Harland about the initial findings, he'll no longer need you to get him the robot and the quest will end there. High perception players may conduct this route, and finish the quest much faster than usual.

Is there any benefit from *NOT* slaughtering all the helpless morons in that cave and looting their belongings?
