Briggs missing?

Not entirely sure this is a bug, but I can't find Briggs after returning from the Nexus of Technology. The professor was kidnapped and I'm told to go talk to Briggs, but when I go down into the Arch Keep there is only one soldier saying that Briggs is up ahead. He isn't in the room where the professor usually is and the large doors aren't open either.

There should be a blue transition zone next to the soldier. He is on the other side of the transition zone.

There's no transition zone that I can see. If it's meant to be through the double doors, well the doors aren't open for me.

For now i would recomment to load a save before the prof. was kidnapped.

Thanks for reporting that bug. But i think closer infos would be better for Styg and his team. But thats their job now.

Did you try loading an older save and did this happen again?

I tried replaying right from the start of expedition and the doors ended up being shut again. If it matters I've also seen others with the same problem on the steam forums and other forums.
I found out you can kind of skip Briggs and go straight to razor to rescue the professor, but then I think the game becomes bugged. The expedition base no longer gets attacked by the natives and my notebook tells me to talk to Briggs about the professor's kidnapping, but he doesn't have any dialogue options about it (Briggs returned to his tent after I rescued the professor).

Can you tell me how you were notified of the professor being kidnapped? Was it after resting or did you get a call? Also, what version are you playing?

The first time I got a call while out of the base and the second time was after coming back to the base and resting. My version is 1.1.0.13, purchased off steam if it matters.

Try taking a nap in the camp and see if this will fix the issue.
