Given somewhat mixed reaction to the psion re-balance patch (I personally love it, but opinions differ and all) and given that most distribution platform have options for multiply branches (that's how we have stable and experimental on steam):

Is there a chance current stable will remain available as a playable branch after the next patch is deployed?

You must be new here. Usually the experimental branch just merge into the game after most bugs are ironed by beta tes...unpaid gullible players :)

He's not new here, and you've completely missed the point of his post which brings up a quite valid concern due to how controversial the changes to psi have been thus far.

Yes, the current plan is to have a legacy branch frozen at 1.1.1.6 for those who do not want to switch to the new psi. That branch would not be further updated.
