Update 1.2.0.0 games won’t save

I recently updated Underrail to its latest version of 1.2.0.0 and for some reason, when I try to save the game via quicksaving or manual saving, it gives me an error telling me that it failed to save. When I try to leave the current map I’m in to try autosaving, it gives me a “Zone transition failed” message and boots me back to the main menu. Is anyone else having this problem and if so, what did you do to fix this issue?

Could be your antivirus software. Try adding the game to the exclusions list and see if that fixes the problem.

That worked. Didn’t even know about an exclusion zone for my antivirus, but after you told me of its existence, I looked up the details on how to do it and figured it out from there. The saves are working again. Thank you SO much for the help and tip on where to look. Have a wonderful day.

This happens often when we release a new update. The game's .exe is different, and some AVs just see it as a no-no.
