If the guards are neutral to the player and the tchortists cell is unlocked while in stealth, option 4 will do nothing. Option 1 and 2 lead to tchortists getting attacked by nearby guards as they try to leave, and the game crashes.
The captives should either refuse to talk at all if the faceless are neutral to the player, or suggest a stealth way to lead them back to the cytosine outpost through the broken wall.
