English version of Fallout 1.5: Resurrection, a total conversion mod for Fallout 2, just recently got released. Seems promising so far, check it out!

I did tell styg about it! Something to play until underrail expansion. I like it so far, combat is harder than previous fallouts.

The early random encounter difficulty can be a bit off. It was !!fun!! to try to survive a plot ambush of a large ghoul mob with snipers rifles, a hunting rifle and a combat shotgun when you're level 5, equipped with a 10mm SMG & a leather jacket and a dog as your only companion. :P

Other than that it's not much different from the original Fallouts. The companions are improved though, they can comment on most events and quests and sometimes take part on your dialogs or talk among each other. Makes them a little more than pack mules.

This game is really nice overall,
A game really dark and hard as fallout 1 but with fallout 2 upgraded mechanics. Everything is nice in this game,

You should also check fallout of nevada, a bit less good averall, but a bigger game. Both mods require to be played by any fallout 1 and 2 fan.

Finished it just the other month :)

I was actually gonna play FO2 restoration but then i started Underrail and now it really doesn't look like i'll be playing much of anything else since the expansion is about to release lmao.

But, if i had to give you guys a suggestion on a good RPG to play, i'd say try Atom RPG. its not as good as Underrail, And it has a less serious tone to it but overall its a decent Fallout-like game.

If you liked Resurrection, try Fallout Nevada, something was better done in Ressurections, something in Nevada.

I played through Fallout 1.5 a few times back in 2018.

It's very, very true to Fallout. Subconsciously, it's almost frustrating because it showed that's it is possible to make a good Fallout game in the present-day.

There's a lot of people making excuses for the sequels to Fallout 2, and NV's shortcomings, and then Fallout 1.5 comes along as if Fallout 2 had been the most recent game produced.

The bittersweet victories, the haunting, hollow moribund world, small enlightened factions clinging to the last scraps of civilization. A thematically-realistic world in which no-body gives you something for nothing, or expects anything. The continuation of characters from Fallout 1. The sense that everything is about to sunset on humanity. It's perfect, and I never thought we would get anything this good.

A.T.O.M. RPG is also fun as the 'Russian Fallout.'

Just saw a new video pop up in my feed, "OG Fallout was Bleak."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d-MF2_CgP8

Only watched some of it, but it's possible this guy gets it, that the bleak moribund setting was key to the original Fallout.
