Need help with the new Dude quest (Spoilers)

I just arrived at the dude's lab, he opened the door to the room filled with mutants and i don't know what to do anymore, i made the mistake of taking this quest with little to no ammo and there is this console that shows random numbers and letters, can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to do or at least give some hints?

The console is actually a puzzle. Look at the numbers in the sequences. Try to figure it out if you're low on ammo that may be your best... shot^^.

Also needing some help here, I'm on the first of his new quests, stuck in the shack and apparently need to find a key (I don't have 100 lock-picking), I've tried ever single interactive object in the place and can't find anything, any hints?

If you're talking about Dude's 1st house in Core City (the one with the zoner lady in it), there's a panel in the back-room that is a different color from all the others. Clicking on it reveals that you can remove it from the wall, which should continue the quest.

If you're talking about his 2nd house (the one with all the tech stuff and the consoles), I think his keycard is like in his desk or something. Or in his bed. IDK, but it should be in a highlighted container.

For his 3rd house, just walk up to the bed and stuff will happen. Save beforehand.

I seriously need help on that console puzzle, otherwise i need to start a whole new game....

If you really just want the answer to the puzzle, say so. However the solution is to read the numbers on the power panel, the chemicals, and the piece of paper in the bucket. Each of these are notes that were used to remember how to access the panel, however they do not directly tell you the answer, they skip a step so to speak, write down each of the numbers from the 3 sources and then look at the options you can select in the console, compare the two and see if you notice anything.

Are there any benefits to solving it that way, as opposed to spraying down the mutants with a hail of lead?

Not as far as I know, one benefit is the place won't be full of acid from gunning down mutants, so you can walk around in there after the cryogas is gone without losing your toes, or waiting ages, Acid takes longer to disperse than the gas goes I think.
