Hello, my name is Henrique, I currently live in Brazil and I am part of a specific group of people who deify this game. I am doing a work in the field of informatics and used as a theme the development of games and chose to talk specifically about this game. I already have a lot of information gathered but the crucial thing is missing, how was the graphic part of the game made? I mean; Sprites, animations and textures. What techniques were employed? What programs were used in development?

I would also like to know how the visuals are made for the game. I like the models and always wanted to try making some of my own just for fun.

Photoshop and Blender mostly, a little bit of Zbrush. Some minor parts are made with houdini. We use more often shaders for textures instead of bitmaps, the ingame objects are rendered with cycles(raytraced render) and the models with an OpenGl render, spritesheets are put togheter with a inhouse software or manually put togheter in photoshop. Nothing particullary fancy, we try new techniques all the time but that are all tool specificue things.

Unfortunately I had to hand in the class work before the answer here in the forum, but not all is bad news, I got the top score in my work and still gained a wealth of impressive information about the game. Thank you all for everything

It is amazing that the 2013 arts were made with mspaint. Pure talent. Do you intend to make a continuation or DLC of the game? (In addition to Expedition)

Inventory sorting and search feature DLC would be the best DLC in the game

@MacOrion
Expedition looks amazing, especially the background art & light! :)
