Expedition: endings for Todd [spoilers]

So, I managed to convince Todd to come with me to the surface but I don't know who to bring him to. I sided with the Grim Jetters, so can't bring Todd to the Professor. Is there any other way I can resolve Todd's fate?

You can also take him to your 'ol pal The Ferryman. He'll whip Todd into shape and be the father figure he never had. You might have to tell him it'll lighten his burden, though.

Can't believe I didn't try that. Instead I massacred the pirates in order to rescue the professor and bring him back to the Expedition who hate me, so I had to kill them too. Awkward.

How would that work? I mentioned Todd to the Captain when talking about Abyssal Station Zero but afterwards I couldn't find any dialogue option to talk about Todd.
