Either complete all the jobs [[Mediant Samuel]] has for you or complete enough jobs for the Investigation section. You will be given an opportunity to talk with [[Eidein]] and join the section you worked for.&lt;br /&gt;

When talking to Eidein about joining either Preservation or Investigation, the tremors will begin and he sends you to investigate. Physics department can inform you about the source of the tremors - somewhere in the west wing.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Inside west wing, head go west then south until you come across a faceless tunneler squad. If you saved the [[Injured Faceless]] in Core City, you will meet him here and he will give you a warning about the impending faceless invasion. If not, you'll have to either sneak or fight your way past the group, into the tunnel where they came from and peek at the faceless invasion force.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After you've seen the large faceless invasion group, return to Eidein. Inform him of the faceless group (1 oddity XP) and about the invasion force (2 oddity XP). Afterwards, you are to follow Eidein to the elevator north of his office.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The tremors and subsequent faceless invasion can also be triggered in a couple of other ways, but these stop you from finishing this quest for the Tchortists:&lt;br /&gt;
* Attack any of the tchortists inside the Institute, turning the entire Institute hostile. This will start the tremors and the invasion starts as soon as you make your way to the cargo elevator.&lt;br /&gt;
* Find your way to a cargo elevator at the east end of the utility section, below Eidein's office. Either hack the elevator controls (120 hacking needed) or pickpocket [[Elevator Key Card (Institute)|Elevator Key Card]] from Eidein.&lt;br /&gt;

As soon as you deploy the device, a bunch of punks appears - [[Johnny Filth]], [[Mullock]] and [[Drek]]. You can deal with them with Persuasion (45 effective skill required) or Intimidate (65 effective skill required) or old-fashioned violent way. They also let you go if you said you work for science and give them 1000 Stygian Coins, or 500 with enough Mercantile skill (35 effective skill required). Hide your true reason and they will only ask 500 or 200 with enough Mercantile skill (75 effective skill required).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Since [[Mullock]] is a crossbow user, player with low initiative may want to pay them first, get a better tactical position, then kill them all to get your money back.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once the device is securely in place, return to Schteff. &lt;br /&gt;

If you say you have been robbed, you will get extra 200 charons for that, even if you already killed them all and got your money back.&lt;br /&gt;

If you ask people around the library and nearby areas, you will learn that Nevil did not enter the west wing nor the library, but he could have slipped past the rassophores guarding the entrance to [[Harpocrates Station]]. Make your way to the station and look around. You should notice a shelf that has been moved. Search near it and you'll find a hidden ventilation shaft.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The ventilation shaft leads into [[Upper Underrail Ventilation System]], where you can hear Nevil moving and fighting barely ahead of you. Keep moving through the vents after him until you come to a shaft leading steeply downwards. This will lead to [[RAF 013]] where you will find Nevil standing in front of a security console.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once inside [[RAF 013]] there is no way back up and a large robot assault from the facility's storage rooms is imminent. Talk to Nevil if you can, but prepare to battle a small army of [[Plasma Sentry|Plasma Sentries]], [[Sentry Bot]]s and [[Kamikaze Bot]]s. The blast doors of the facility open one by one, each revealing a group of robots.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If you talk to [[Rassophore Nevil]] before the battle begins, he then steps away from the security console. If you have a high enough [[Hacking]] skill (effective 100 needed), you can step up to the security console and disable the alarm, which also cancels the robot assault.  Afterwards, [[Rassophore Nevil]] will acknowledge that you stopped the attack.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If [[Rassophore Nevil]] survives the battle (or you canceled it via [[Hacking]]), you can choose to ask him about why he deserted and let him go, or fight him. Either way, once you've dealt with Nevil, head to the North-East side of the facility, through a door.  This room contains a computer console that controls the main gate. Return to Samuel for your reward.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Be advised that the unique [[Toy Robot]] oddity can only be obtained from robot assault. If you avoid the assault with hacking, the oddity can't be obtained.&lt;br /&gt;

Afterwards, you can access the server room on the upper floor through hacking (100 skill required) or with the [[Data Storage Key Card (HRO)|Key Card]] which can be found on a skeleton in the laboratory on the same floor. This transports you to the [[Dude's House - Core City|Dude's old home in Core City]] and gives you [[Heavy Intoxication]] a flat penalty to all stats that decreases as you journey with Dude. [[Zoner Ma]] can be persuaded, intimidated, bribed with 100 Charons or insulted with intelligence into letting you search her apartment. There's a hidden cracked tile in the south-east corner containing a small key. This opens a safe behind a panel containing an [[Unsaturated Psionic Catalyst]]. &lt;br /&gt;

Next stop is [[Dude's House - Upper Underrail|Dude's old lab in Upper Underrail]]. The ingredient here, [[Morphine (component)|Morphine]], is trapped in a locker in a locked room inexplicably full of mutants. The Dude left the keycard in the desk. The mutants can be fought directly or the Dude's zap-spider addled console can be used to turn on the cyro chambers and slowly refrost the mutants. &lt;br /&gt;

There are three sequences of numbers hidden in the trash can, chemical station and power box: 67 33 82, 79 55 11 and 76 89 25 on normal. The console has options each with 3 numbers separated by jumbles of letters. The solution to the puzzle is to sum the 3 numbers in the console options. The correct options in the console will have the same total as the 2 digit number in the clue. For example 67 33 82 requires entering in the option that equals 67 (23+31+13) followed by the option that equals 33 followed by the option that equals 82. &lt;br /&gt;

The [[Dude's House - Caves|Dude's next home is in the Upper Caves]]. The Dude warns you that's there dangers inside, laser cats which go hostile when you approach the bed. There are 10 dog cages on a shelf to the south. These can to capture and neutralise at least some of the enhanced felines. They have a very low HP pool but have very good dodge and evasion. Grenades or traps are good options. [[Gyromitrin]] is the final ingredient to [[The Juice]] and helping Dude remember the recipe rewards 2 oddity XP. Consuming the juice allows you to attune yourself to the [[Rift]] in Dude's house. &lt;br /&gt;

The visions didn't warn Dude that your ultimate destination is the [[Gray Army Base]]. Dude can't make any more juice to return home but mineral oil might inexplicably provide enough lubrication for the residual juice in your body to work again. The [[Gun Lubricating Oil]] is located on a shelf at the back of armory.  The armory is immediately to the west of the starting zone, behind a garage door. &lt;br /&gt;

Access requires hacking the access console or getting the Magatzin keycard from a desk in the North-West of the second level. The Gray Army Base is swarming with Gray Army Gunners, Snipers, Grenadiers, Heavy Gunners and Officers. You can avoid combat if you wear the appropriate uniform and avoid dialogue.  If the original soldiers are killed the lights will cut and a Gray Army Spec Ops team and a few Dobermans will spawn. Retrieving the gun lube will reward you with 2 oddity XP. &lt;br /&gt;

The warehouse is east of Rail Crossing, as dude said. Start from the Metro that arrives at Rail Crossing, then travel two screens East.  The northern end of this area contains a storage area.  There is a secret crawlspace hidden in the locker room. The important item is in a locker beyond the crawlspace, in a trapped warehouse. The ''&amp;quot;really important item&amp;quot;'' is 20 bottles of [[Mushroom Brew]]. Return to Dude once you find them.&lt;br /&gt;
