A random event entered via holes in the ground on the [[upper Caves]]. It is infested with Metathermic wielding [[Azuridae Goliathus]], features a large amount of scorched mushrooms. The beetles will be able to use [[Plasma Beam]] and fire attuned Methatermic psi skills. Some beetles will appear with 400% of their regular health on the DOMINATING difficulty.

A scorched pile on the north-east area of the cave will contain the [[Psionic Mentor: Plasma Beam]].

The cave will never de-spawn once entered. This event can only occur in level 12 or higher level zones.
