Metal Armor is the heaviest armor suit in Underrail. It has high resistances, equally massive armor penalty and weight. Metal armor suits, helmets and boots are the only types of armor to provide protection against Energy damage. All metal armor suits also provide Heat and Acid damage threshold.
Any metal armor suit can be worn without meeting its minimal strength requirement, but doing so will reduce your APs.
Crafting
Metal Armor can be crafted with Blueprint: Metal Armor.
Variants
Base material
Steel Armor — 8 minimal strength

Tungsten Steel Armor — 9 minimal strength, heavier weight/armor penalty and higher resistances than steel
- Increases Mechanical, Heat and Energy damage resistance/threshold
- +5 Heat and +5 Acid damage threshold
TiChrome Armor — 8 minimal strength, lightweight, higher energy and heat resistances, but less mechanical resistance
- Increases Mechanical, Heat and Energy damage resistance/threshold
- +5 Heat and +5 Acid damage threshold
Carrier vest
Galvanic <material> Armor — Increases Electricity damage resistance/threshold
Insulated <material> Armor — Increases Cold damage resistance/threshold
Regenerative <material> Armor — Provides health regeneration when powered
Enhancements
/ / Spiked <material> Armor — Deals extra damage in melee
/ / Bladed <material> Armor — Causes Bleeding Wounds in melee
extra plates — Further increases damage resistances/thresholds at the cost of extra armor penalty and weight
