Metal Armor is an armor suit. All infobox examples on this article are crafted from Quality 50 components unless noted otherwise.
Description
The metal armor is the heaviest armor suit in Underrail. It has high resistances/thresholds, equally massive armor penalty and weight. The armor penalty can be reduced significantly with the feat Armor Sloping. Metal armor suits, helmets and boots are the only types of armor to provide protection against Energy damage. All metal armor suits also provide Heat and Acid damage threshold.
Any metal armor suit can be worn without meeting its minimal strength requirement, but doing so will reduce your APs.
Crafting
Metal Armor can be crafted with Blueprint: Metal Armor.
Variants
Base material
Type and quality of metal plates used determines the main damage resistances/thresholds and base armor penalty of the armor suit. Steel armor is used as a basis of resistance comparison here. The numbers in brackets represent the modified armor penalty with the feat Armor Sloping.
