Contributing to the wiki

There are many ways in which you can help. Don't be afraid to edit and create articles!

Improving existing articles

Adding missing stuff to navboxes/lists

• Most content should be listed on the wiki, but if you see something missing, please add it!
• Navboxes can be edited via the v-d-e links in their upper left corner.

Feats

• All feats up to 0.1.11.1 are in the wiki, but some might be outdated.

Items

• Check items with example stats and fill in the stat ranges or check if the example is okay.
• Update the stats of items without weight to latest version.

Quests

• Detail pages; write walkthroughs, etc.
• All quests up to 0.1.11.1 should be listed.

Characters, Creatures/Robots

• Detail pages; add any missing data to infoboxes.

Locations

• Detail pages; most are stubs or redirects to larger area.

Status effects

• Detail pages; most are stubs and missing some important details.

Creating new pages

Check out the wanted pages for a list of frequently linked-to pages that don't yet exist. Feel free to create any of them!

Quests

Add any missing quests!

• Check out the quest infobox
• Other quest pages can work as examples
• Also add it to the relevant navbox

Items

Want to add missing item pages to the wiki?

• or use other item pages as examples
• Also add any additions to relevant item navboxes.
• Category:Item icons for a list of already uploaded item icons.
• Template:ComponentGroup will also be helpful if you're working with blueprint pages

Abilities

Want to add the missing abilities like psi powers to the wiki?

• or use the existing ability pages, like Stealth Mode or Telekinetic Punch, for reference
• Feat abilities should go to relevant feat page; no need for two pages and disambig.

Characters, Creatures/Robots

Wanna add these to the wiki?

• character infobox template and all its parameters
• navboxes: NPCs and enemies

Locations

All location-related stuff is very much WIP due to the game content also being unfinished.

• There's the location infobox and navbox
• Zones lists every map file and its article
  • Every zone should have its own detailed article later on, for now locations only have larger common pages

Uploading images

See File:Misc icon.png#filelinks for pages that still lack images

Screenshots and editing!

• Category:Exported images has all the game icon files (may be outdated)
• Icons should be 33x33 or 35x35 PNG with transparent, or at least black, background
• NPC/mob models should be 100px high
  • Unique NPCs can use cropped screenshots to illustrate their surroundings
  • Generic NPCs and mobs are better off with transparent background
• Quests infobox supports 300x200 images, can be a key event or point of interest in the quest
• Every area should have a map image, preferably fully explored and without visible NPCs
  • All areas up to 0.1.10.0 have map images

Image categories

• Check Category:Item icons for already uploaded item icons
• Category:Feat icons for feat icons
• Category:Icons for all other icons
• Category:Maps for area maps
• Category:Portraits for NPC portraits
• Category:In-game models for in-game models of NPCs/mobs
• Category:Quest images for quest infobox images

Quality assurance

The usual wiki cleanup stuff.

• Tag dubious information with {{verify}} or help verify information in existing articles.
• Help expand some article stubs.
• Check article content for typos and/or bad grammar. Any typos present in the game need not be reproduced in the wiki, instead report them here
• Improve syntax/formatting as you see fit.
• Add pages to correct categories by adding [[Category:Category's name]] on the page.
• Check for any internal links to disambiguation pages and fix them.
• Create some links on dead end pages and create links to some orphaned pages.
• Fix any double redirects by redirecting the first page to the third page. Also check for broken redirects and fix them.
