+ | Heya, I made some changes to the merchant pages and relevant categories. The store inventory data you collected is now represented within a template that's easily extensible in case a need arises. ;) I also split the trader categories containing both items and merchants into [[:Category:Trade categories|Trade categories]] for the items and [[:Category:Buyer categories|Buyer categories]] for the merchants who buy said items. They're all neatly crosslinked so the information should be just as accessible as it used to be, but now there's no confusion with merchants/items in the same categories and also no need for that hacky <nowiki>{{PAGENAME}}</nowiki> syntax on the merchant pages. - [[User:Epeli|epeli]] ([[User talk:Epeli|talk]]) 11:00, 11 December 2016 (CST) |

Trader inventory template
Hey, since you've been working on trader pages, do you have any suggestions for a trader inventory template? Everything's open, from the syntax to how it should look like and what info it should contain.
Also, one improvement I was thinking about would be linking the "looking to buy" list items to appropriate trader categories (check them out, they might be outdated). Eg. if a trader buys bullets, the list item for that would be [[:Category:Bullets|]]
instead of Bullets
.
Would you mind adding category links like that from now on? I could probably have my bot add the links to existing trader pages if that's too much work. - epeli (talk) 15:56, 18 January 2016 (CST)
Yes, I will start add category links, to all trader pages I edited. Not sure about template format. For now, I'll just try to put all info I can collect during my play-through, but some traders will be off limit to me, due to my faction choices. --Player1 (talk) 16:37, 18 January 2016 (CST)
Update: Added category links to all existing entries and created couple of missing category pages. --Player1 (talk) 17:41, 18 January 2016 (CST)
Epeli, what do you think about adding traders themselves to the item trading categories? Idea would be to quickly find what other traders will trade specific group of items. Or maybe there is some better way to do it? This way traders would be mixed with the items. --Player1 (talk) 01:16, 19 January 2016 (CST)
- Good job on the trader pages! I'm not sure what would be the best way make the trader information easily accessible; there used to be a huge sortable trader chart, but updating that information was just too much of a pain as the game grew and traders got tweaked. Adding the trader pages into the trading item categories sounds good to me. Prefix them with a whitespace so they appear on top of the category listing instead of mixed with the items. Syntax example:
[[Category:Bullets| {{PAGENAME}}]]

Merchant page changes
