Burrower Warriors are a rare kind of adult burrowers who serve as soldiers for the hive. They have a tough carapace, and strong, antler-like mandibles.
Description
Warriors are slow but strong fighters. Unlike regular burrowers they don't have any ranged attacks or poison, nor can they lay any eggs. Instead they rely exclusively on their large mandibles, and deal between 40-80 Mechanical damage with each hit. Additionally every attack that lands inflicts a bleeding wound that deals 100% of that damage over 3 turns. Since there is no limit to how many bleeding wounds you can suffer, when fighting large groups it's better to get surrounded with spawns to keep the warriors out of melee range.
Their carapace gives them fairly high Mechanical resistance and threshold, as well as some protection against Heat.
To avoid detection by burrower warriors when in stealth mode, player needs effective stealth skill of 63.
Generally, burrower warriors can only be found at Hephaestus Research and in Deep Caverns. But on DOMINATING, they can be found anywhere regular burrowers are found.
