Fatso is a unique Warthog encountered in the Hunting Grounds. He is also a "boss" enemy, and on DOMINATING difficulty will appear with 400% of his regular health.

Description

Fatso is an exceptionally large Warthog, easily rivaling a Bison Bull in size. The player will likely first learn about Fatso via a hunter telling his two friends about his failed hunting trip involving Fatso and another large Warthog named Jumbo. Fatso himself can be found in a den of sorts in the southernmost part of the hunting grounds, munching on Cave Ears. Fatso drops high quality Pig Leather.

Fighting Tactics

Fatso has extremely high health and also gains permanent Pain Suppression and Adrenaline Rush buffs when his health drops below a certain threshold, similarly to common Warthogs fought on DOMINATING difficulty. At 80% health, he gains 20% damage reduction and his action points are increased by 15, dodge and evasion by 10%, and strength by 2. At 60% health, he gains 35% damage reduction and his action points are increased by 25, dodge and evasion by 20%, and strength by 3. At 40% health, he gains 50% damage reduction and his action points are increased by 35, dodge and evasion by 30%, and strength by 4. He also possesses Thick Skull ability which makes him immune to stun.

There are few holes in the ground in the pit where Fatso is. It is possible to make him fall through one of these holes, making him die instantly. To do that, Fatso has to move near the holes a few times. Eventually, he will trip and fall through the hole. His dead body can be later found in the rathound infested cave below.
