Type and quality of the base material determines the armor suit's resistances, armor penalty and durability.

Siphoner Leather Jumpsuit — Increases Mechanical, Heat and Acid damage resistance, increases Dodge and Evasion, 5% armor penalty
Rathound Leather Armor — Increases Mechanical and Cold damage resistance/threshold, -3 Persuasion, 10% armor penalty
Mutated Dog Leather Armor — Increases Mechanical and Acid damage resistance/threshold, +5 Intimidation, -10 Persuasion, 10% armor penalty
Pig Leather Armor — Increases Mechanical damage resistance/threshold, +1 Constitution, 15% armor penalty
Ancient Rathound Leather Armor — Increases Mechanical and Cold damage resistance, -10 Persuasion, 20% armor penalty
Infused Leather
Each type of infused leather provides special bonuses in addition to those of normal leather. Infused leathers are also much higher quality than their normal counterparts.

Infused Rathound Leather Armor — Increases critical chance
Infused Mutated Dog Leather Armor — Increases all healing effects

Infused Ancient Rathound Leather Armor — Reduces all Heat and Cold damage taken
Overcoat fabric
Optional overcoat fabric gives additional bonuses. Heavier fabrics also increase armor penalty.
Antithermic Overcoat — Increases Heat damage resistance/threshold, decreases Stealth
Black Overcoat — Increases Stealth
Blast Overcoat — Reduces damage taken from explosions, +15 to armor penalty
Kevlar Overcoat — Increases Mechanical damage threshold against bullets, +10 to armor penalty
Padding
No visual difference. Optional.
- Galvanic Padding — Increases Electricity damage resistance/threshold, +2 to armor penalty
- High Density Padding — Increases Mechanical damage resistance/threshold against melee, +5 to armor penalty
- Insulating Padding — Increases Cold damage resistance/threshold, +2 to armor penalty
