Adrenaline Shot gives you Adrenaline Rush buff, which increases AP, dodge/evasion and strength. Once adrenaline rush ends, you're left with Fatigue that decreases AP by 15 for 9 turns / 45 seconds. Using adrenaline also removes any previous fatigue debuff you have. Adrenaline is a pretty common drug and the 20 AP bonus for 3 turns is very nice for any tougher fights.
