Timer triggered T.N.T. charges are often used to clear up passages and bust open sealed dooors of abandoned (or not so abandoned) stations to make way for scavengers.

T.N.T. Charges can be used to clear obstacles that are blocking passages. They can also be used in combat, but the high amount of TNT required for crafting them would be better used on multiple grenades or mines.
