Destructible objects
Destructible objects are obstacles that are blocking passages, but can be removed once the player has access to appropriate tools.
How to destroy
TNT Charge. These can be bought from Lucas in SGS armory after Armadillo drill parts are found and the south metro tunnel is cleared.
Jackhammer can be used to break destructibles in the release version. Leonie in Foundry sells jackhammers, and they can also be found in the local mine tunnels.
Quake is an unique sledgehammer carried by Gubbins that can be used to break obstacles with its unique on-hit effect.
Sonocaster E is a unique directed-sound weapon capable of destroying these obstacles. Requires batteries to operate like the jackhammer, but is only one fifteenth of its weight.
Industrial Powered Exoskeleton E is a unique power suit that can break obstacles with its mounted drill.
Types
Destructible objects are easy to tell apart from normal scenery. They can be targeted and have a hit point bar when highlighted, but normal attacks and lightweight anti-personnel explosives won't damage them.
Rocks are the most common type of destructible object.
Cavern walls may have sections of Weak Wall.
Some man-made obstacles like this Flimsy Shack can also be destroyed.
