General / Fixing jack's questline?

Heya

I screwed up and accidentally did one of the "not optimal" ways (killing the guy in the foundry prison with burrower poison) and now obviously the follow-up quest is locked.

I googled on how I could possibly fix this with save file editing (https://underrail.com/forums/index.php?topic=1700.0) but that topic is from 2016 and I very highly doubt this method will still work.

Anyone got any ideas?
