Yeah. But it is too large to attach.
Also, when you save game near them they turn hostile.

Tested your save, the event definitely looks bugged, they don't despawn and they turn aggro if you save near them just as you said. The trigger that checks player character's gender probably is probably momentarily reset when you save game which turns them hostile (or something like that).
