I have been playing the beta since last year and i can not recommend it enough.
Despite the bugs the early versions had, it was a very rich and enjoyable experience.
The setting is very fresh, there isnt many games like it. The combat is good, even though its rtwp, its quite manageable.

Yeah, I figured it out instantly after reading changelog on steam.
Glorious days of BG seems to return.

Gonna wait a few weeks until the bugs are squashed out, but definitely getting this.

Playing the demo was already a lot of fun!

Yeah, me too!
I played first location - this game has its own spirit and face, and style.

This game is awesome. Alongside Underrail, it is the only *new* game I am excited about.
Has everything a quality RPG needs:

- Classless, skill-point based character progression
- Open world Fallout-ish structure: do quests in the order you see fit!
- Party-based RtwP system: create one or more characters and recruit NPCs
- Cool, gritty Transylvanian world
- OLD SCHOOL! Really, really tough game!

Recommend you purchase it  :D

True words!

I not far in game, so I have a questions if you don't mind.

Can someone besides specific race\people use that thing, that require Nobility skill?
I want to create dude with this as temporal party member, then throw him away.

How many levels I can get? Not include grinding of any kind.

Skill managment - it is useless to rise all social skills in third book?
Or one is enough?

Don't want to find myself in the midgame with wrong build.

I cannot help you with any specific build tips, as I have not acquired the full game yet.

You can try @whalenought's Twitter page (or their website), though, as they have a few build suggestions to get you going.
Alternatively, check out the RPG Codex where there are detailed discussions about the mechanics and the game itself.

I try to refrain from reading such posts, however, as I like to experiment and find my own favorite builds :)

Hope this helps,

Well, can't find topic about SitS on RPGCodex.

here is the RPG Codex post:http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/serpent-in-the-staglands-a-darklands-inspired-pixel-art-rpg-released.90686/page-95#post-4003934. Admitted, its rather long, and suggestions/tips on character builds are bundled together with general impressions from the game. But if you start looking at the later posts (after the game was released, obviously), there are some good tips.

Here are the some of build suggestions from Whalenought I was talking about (see their Twitter page for the full lot, just scroll down):

-Build Concept #3: The Trapping Teleporter! Create a portal and leave traps and AoE spells for unsuspecting enemies.
https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/CFlzs0oWIAAKS4I.mp4

-Build Concept #2: The Summoner! No spell casting required, and a great way to combine aptitudes and combat skills.
https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/CFfLU36VAAAXnFH.mp4

-Kickstarter update #20: Launch Trailer, GOG, Humble Store, Build Concepts! Check it out! http://kck.st/1IKGwrs

Are you enjoying the game so far?

I plan to indulge myself and buy it tonight after work ;)
