Whatever you say, pops
« on: January 06, 2016, 06:06:52 am »
I love little details like this.  I've been switching between a few different characters, and decided to play one as kind of a smart-ass idiot.  So I chose the "Whatever you say, pops." dialog at the shooting range when talking to Gorsky.  And he walked over and decked me.

Like most people, I'm here for the tactical combat, but touches like this just make the game that much better.

Yep, one of the funniest scenes. However I would love it if there were various skill checks in conversations, like the two Fallout games had them. In this case a dodge check where you could at least attempt to avoid getting hit. Heck, even if he'd hit you 100% of the time it would be awesome just to have it.

Isn't there such a check when you try to resist the psionic mind invasion when you ask to learn from Ezra? After that there was an option where you could go for your weapon and that would trigger combat... lol.

I also like that you can play as a smart ass kid without hurting your game, so you can actually roleplay and build up a personality for your character if you want to. Many games feature this kind of funny lines, but picking them will make you screw your game, so you just have to keep on picking the nicest line.

I love pissing off that gormless tit of a mayor in Foundry. Shame we can't give him a good bollocking for his sheer incompetence, but insulting him in front of the entire commune is neat enough.
But the problem is, indeed, it zlots at Vlurxtrznbnaxl.

I punched him back, but that triggered combat.

I love that I could continually hit on the hot cafeteria worker in the Institute with cheesy pick-up lines. His deadpan responses were hilarious. The poor fellow would have every right to file a sexual harassment suit against my character by now.
