Few Questions
« on: April 15, 2019, 01:15:54 pm »
1 I have balaklava & vest. Both have "Mechanical damage treshold increased by 200%"
So it means that I have 400% overall?

2. I play Hard mode and I am new in this game. I have lvl 16 and already have 50+k  st coins. Game becomes uninteresting at all. I can kill everybody in 1 burst. All Arena gladiators = 1 round. Is there any plan to optimise balance?
edit.
I just saw news about DLC

1. Mech DT increased by 200% "towards bullets". It's a bullet-stopping capability, only works on mechanical damage from bullets.

2. Go finish gauntlet, or Protectorate/Free Drones questline. Or go to Foundry and help them solve the Beast puzzle, that could provide a way to stop your money bearing. Keep pushing main questline until the oligarch offers you a house, then decorate & defend it with a lot of Charons. If you had done all above, it would be the good time for DC, get enough ammo & consumable (drugs and kits).

1. I mean i have BOTH balaklava & vest, they both give Mechanical damage treshold.
Does it mean that It can be 200+200% or not?

2. I did everything that you told. I have 50k+ after it. So, I think that hard is not hard. Hard is easy. Or AR builds with 8 int are super easy.

The +200% (actually it means multiplied by 3only apply on the DT of that specific item.

So you get :
2 dt againt mechanical with the bataclava... It means 6 DT against bullets.
+
10 or so mechanical DT with the vest (or even more depending on what you have). Specificaly against bullet you get 30 DT

Does it answer your question ?

Yes, thanks a lot

so having balaclava 2 def = 6 from bullets
vest 10 def = 30 from bullets
overall 12 from melee or 36 bullets

What version of the game are you playing, Vain? 1.0.4.17 or earlier? Are you using Speedhack by any chance? What is your Mercantile rating, have you invested in it at all?

The economy has been improved recently. You can still make big money (if you do shopping rounds selling everything), but I wouldn't expect that you would have that much money by that point with an AR build.

1.0.4.17
Not using speedhack, but game always in background and after 90 minutes I do round trade.

Intellect 8 max Mer, Pic and Hacking, so I can open every box/door
60 pickp to steel almost everything
I repair every thing (cost more then 500) and sell it

I have all staff quality around 120 and +
9 burst for every gun
300+ every type of red/gree bullets and special bullets from 200 to 600
I have all blueprints
Over 50 IV level each type of grenades and IV mines
50+ 100 batteries
etc,

Overall - AR build with 8 INT = super mega unbalanced power. As a result = boring to play. And I decided to play pistol + sniper build on dominating. After 2 hours of playing also easy.

I want Super_Dominating level. Current game is so casual. But what can I do if I like rifles?
I want to cry about loosing every dollar and bullet. Afraid every wolf and human. And all of these during integrated IronMan mode.

Have you tried playing without reloads yet?

Im doing it now.
First time with AR I played only to understand and study mechanics

About saves:
I am sure that IronMode must be integrated, like, for instance, in BattleBrothes game

otherwise, it is human psychology, we do not concentrate on 100% if we know about auto or saves

Well, you did everything in your power to do well financially, even maxed Merc, so the game rewarded you by giving you more money than you know what to do with. Not saying the finances in the game are perfect (they are OK), but I think your situation makes sense from a design perspective.

The game difficulty goes up in the final stage of the game (and when I say final stage, I mean the final 20% of the game). I think you didn't mention going to Deep Caverns, right? It is quite tough.

If you do not want to try ironman, I do not know what else to suggest. (btw, I  do not find that the game has been designed with ironman in mind, unfortunately. However, some folks play it ironman). Maybe try another build. Sniper+pistol is quite powerful, but the point is to find the builds that you have fun with.

Eh? What exactly do you need to play UnderRail in Ironman mode? It's literally as simple as not reloading saves...

Deep caverns? With 27 bullets I kill everything in 1 round. Ok. Will be 2 rounds in DC lol. And 1 with Supersoldier Drug.
And I also think I am lucky. From the first attempt I got 3 super plates 158 155 147

Full Auto Must be lvl 20
Burst +2 mount - mech 80
You must be able to have only one AR in hands.

Super easy tactic with 10 mines and then through 1 grenade = all enemies dead... this must be somehow nerfed. Ones I killed about 8 lurkers this way.
Recycle must be nerfed also. With this recycle I am able to repair everything and sell it with high price. 50 or 25 - does not matter.

Well, you said you're playing on Hard.  Hard isn't very hard once you know the game and understand the mechanics - that's why Styg added DOMINATING difficulty.  It also cuts the sell price for items by half from Hard, which is itself half of Normal/Easy.  So you'll likely find the economy a little tighter on DOMINATING.  A few more enemies; more health so you'll need to use more bullets per enemy; less money to buy things.

Give DOMINATING a try.  You may just be good enough at this type of game that you need the greater challenge.
