(Spoilers) Eternal Torch and shards

Hey,

I've seen that you need some kind of sketch and shard before you go the the graveyard.
Can anyone explain me how i get them?

And is that eternal torch related to this?

Last but not least : How do i get that psibeetle brain in a jar?

You dont actually need the sketch you can figure witch dude to search from somewhere else.
Others know what the item is to specifically those who made it.
Getting the sketch comes with more info and background of the story.
Eternal torch is the prize.

I got the sketch from Yngwar, i talked to him and passed some intellect checks. The shard i got from the graveyard, by finding the hoist with the same rune etched in it as on the sketch, and searching the right thigh, though that might be randomized. Yngwar tells you where exactly on the body to look, and so does the Ferryman. To use the hoist you need to find the bone crank, which either spawns somewhere in the graveyard, or is already in one of the hoists. You can take it out by interacting with it (RMB). I have no idea what the eternal torch is and how it comes in.

Can you tell me which checks i have to pass to get his sketch? Because i don't get it but i completed all possible dialoges with him, do i need to talk a bit with thr ferryman or what?

Go into the main village.
Second lower map you will see a monument with a giant hammer.
Hover over it... is saying how great individual used that giant weapon.
Look closely at the hammer head..on it is the symbol you need to look for in the graveyard.

And to turn the shard into the etherial torch, take it back to the main game, and think who might know a thing or two about it!

Anybody had luck with the key shard? What it goes to?

I have absolutely the same question - have key shard but don't know how to use it.

Well i've hoisted the right corpse and searched EVERY single part of him but there was nothing. Do i have to talk with monsieur ferryman about it to find out WHERE i have to search?

That's right - you need to hear from him where he threw the shard. I THINK you can hear it from Yngwar too? In my playthrough it was the back right hamstring, but I bet it's randomized.

Also, be sure about the rune, some of them look pretty similar!

I finished the main quest in Expedition, dominated Yngwar and now there is no dialogue options with Ferryman to ask about the shard.

Am I missing something? Are you supposed to learn about the shard and eternal torch somewhere before asking Ferryman?
Maybe muties? I dominated them all too.

I think you do not need to go to Ferryman, I went directly to the graveyard and obtained the Black Shard.

But how do you know where exactly it's located in the body? Just brute force every body part while running away from spirit?

First of all, Yngwar can give you sketch with the rune.
Same rune is located at B11.
You have to go to the graveyard, locate Hoist mechanism with this particular rune next to it, operate it with the bone crank found in the cemetery (remember there is only one bone crank!), and then search the body in the left elbow.

That body part and the rune are different for every playthrough.
You can look up the rune at natives village but how can you learn the shard location in body if you already killed Yngwar?

Ferryman told me about body part - it was before I met Yngwar. Did not know that body part is different for each playthrough - my bad.
