Diagonal movement calculations
« on: September 26, 2020, 04:36:36 pm »
Really nerdy question, I apologize, but I can't tell for sure how a game calculates a diagonal distance and can't seem to find info about it on the wiki.

[][]Y
[]X[]
[][][]

(I hope that is understandable) Say I start at X, and during combat I move to Y. Is that move 1 tile, root 2 tiles, or 2 tiles? Is this consistent between all calculations involving distance like accuracy and explosion radius?

It take 15 MP to move diagonally so 1.5 tiles. You can see this by going into turn based combat and try to move.
