Sharpening your edge weapon

Similar to Protectorade's Omnilube, there could be an item in game in which allows you to sharpen your edged weapon, such knives, spears and swords for extra damage for a couple of attacks.

That's not a bad idea. Maybe also something similar for energy weapons and crossbows.

sharpening things irl make them more fragile and easier to break, and this idea was realised already in few weapons with increased damage to soft organics
