Despite stating it reduces cold resistance and treshold, it doesnt reduce it, ice tower can be trivialized by hitting 100% cold DR making increased cold damage completely irrelevant

That's not technically a bug. 100% DR vs. anything also provides immunity to DR lowering effects. This was added a long time ago to prevent killing "unkillable" NPCs (Six, Tanner, Beast, Arke Cameras, etc.) with things like corrosive acid.

Fixed for the next hotfix.
Though now you might be able to kill Six if you manage to lure him into the Ice Tower.
