How do I make the CC machine?

I really enjoy CC in every CRPG I play, and was wondering what the best way to do that in this game is. Crossbows/Traps, TC, or what?

Specify what you mean by CC?

CC meaning Crowd Control, sorry if I didn't make that clear. Just referring to stuff like status ailments, debuffs, etc that restrict the enemy's movement/options in a fight.

Its a year old, but I don't think there have been many major changes affecting this specific build.
