Ambush | |
When attacking an illuminated target from out of the darkness with a ranged weapon you ignore half the target's evasion and your critical chance is increased by 20% plus 0,3% for each stealth skill point. | |
Requirements
|
Ambush is a feat. This situational feat can increase your critical hit chance even over 100%. At the minimum requirement of 40 stealth, it gives a 32% (20+0.3*40) increase. Does not require Stealth Mode.
A target is considered illuminated when it is in sufficiently bright light, such as near a wall light fixture or a thrown Flare. Dim lighting like the glow emitted by Mindshrooms may not work. The attacker must remain in complete darkness, as any ambient light ruins the chances of an ambush attack.
You will see Ambush! scrolling combat text always when making an ambush attack even if the attack doesn't hit, unless you have disabled Scrolling Combat Text for Player Special Attacks in Options.
