Lunatic Scanner is a character found in the Lunatic camp in the Upper Caves under the Oculus that is accessible via a hidden passage infested with Death Stalkers, on the northern side of the chasm. He guards the camp and will approach the player if they are nearby. If player passes 70 effective Persuasion check, joined Oculus or is a psionic, he will let you enter, otherwise he and everyone else in the camp will turn hostile.
