All grenades > Cryo grenades

Seriously they are by far IMO almost useless, I prefer all the way increased stackable damage over a slow (Not even close to cause them hypothermia), if only they acted like an explosive variant instead of gas then it would be interesting.

I looked at the crowed.......so are you gonna say what it is, or just meme that theres something there? I dont see it and I think we are getting meme'd on.

It is the infamous and elusive Siphoner Man, and yes it is like an exclusive underrail meme, I'm surprised he doesn't need to use a hood.

General / Re: Post your experiences with the new Dominating difficulty!
« on: December 23, 2017, 04:11:43 pm »
Well just finished a dominating game w/ an energy pistol char.

I always considered crossbow as the measuring bar in this game, not weak and not overpowering strong, as the middle ranking class. I would say the new energy pistol class is on the same tier as crossbow now but quite a bit weaker. The laser pistol AP reduction really helps this class and it will be your work horse weapon of choice. Understanding of Ambush is a must if you want to unlock this class' full potential. The major weaknesses and drawbacks of this class applied to all pistol class - very starve on ability points, low PER due to the need to pump DEX, low accuracy (toward the middle ~ end game my accuracy hover between 6x ~ 8x%, 95% are super rare without bear traps), short range of weapons (especially electro + plasma). You are very weak against enemies that are immune to crit. I would strongly suggest you bring advanced catalyzing belt, a fire/acid chem gun and a rapid smart 7.62mm Jaguar SMG to the end game.

Spoiler ahead, do not read if you never beaten the game.

Overall this is a challenging and enjoyable experience, with the exception of the changes to creeping dread/eye of tchort. If it's up to me I would also weaken Death Stalkers a bit. Next up: psi monk on dominating to test dodge/evasion.

Did you tried the extra optional boss? I haven't updated the game yet and wanted to know how crazy would be fighting that armored commander.

Suggestions / New component: Heating Module
« on: November 28, 2017, 09:42:53 pm »
This component adds the ability to certain melee weapons (sledgehammers, knives, machetes and possibly spears) to deal Heat damage to one target when has energy and its turned on, it uses the Electronics skills and an additional 15 flat Mechanics to properly installation, I thought in two methods on how it works:

Method one: Turn on and forget.

Self-explanatory, once you turn it on it slowly consumes energy and deals additional Heat damage, the batteries is not spent by hits but rather by turns by being a high-consuming energy device to differentiate it from the electroshock variants.

Method two: Turn on and wait.

Instead of an instant damage increase this way would take it to a three-phase threshold: Low, Medium and High Temperature.

Low: 35%
Medium: 65%
High: 100%

When the device is turned on it starts at Low temperature, causing only 35% of the component damage, then it proceeds to Medium at the next turn until it reaches and maintains itself to the last threshold, if the user runs of energy by any means it will begin to climb down the thresholds instead of cooling down completely, so a quick battery reload would keep the device on its highest threshold.

Sorry for the short text, I really suck giving explanations but this could give a basic idea about the component. Please give me a Hypercerebrix dosage

Well that means throwing knives are most useful when tipped in poison rather using it as clean steel, a shame that particular ability I would dare to say is rather useless as it only fits certain playstyles instead of being an all-around ability, I hope it could get a proper rework in the future, the fact it reduces perception means it could be used against ranged enemies but as I said, I can hope...

Do throwing knives are affected by expertise?

Neurovisual Disruption seems... almost never used this particular ability since it looks like another form to enter stealth, how do you use this particular ability?

I'm having trouble understanding this particular ability as I'm planning a cutthroat character with a serrated knife, as far I can tell the more bleed stacks it causes more damage but what is the formula to calculate the damage done? do the damage of individual bleeds is taken into account?

I have seen every doppelganger lasts for 3 turns (4th turn only to dissipate), it doesn't matter if the user who spawned it has been killed or the level of Though Control, they are like an independent entity.

Had a character once with over 100 (base) Intimidation with high Will and not passed the skill check for some reason, the same happens with Rathound King, I assume both of them are bugged.

General / Re: Ack! No Oculus :(
« on: August 01, 2017, 12:10:54 pm »
I wasn't paying much attention when I turned in all 3 final Oculus quests to Jack Quicksilver. I think I've failed to do them "Optimally" for the first time ever. Azif is not there. I suspect it's because I snuck in and killed the assassin without being filmed or seen, but I did not talk to him first. Big mistake apparently? I perhaps am too jaded and didn't pay enough attention. Really sucks since Oculus is a high point of the game and I never did get to the 3rd level of the database. If I did in fact fail, can anyone send me a cheatengine script to set the Oculus flag, or am I just going to have to deal with it?

The foundry-oculus quest... it is the most easier to complete optimally but in a certain way: When you have killed the Beast you can speak with Chief to release Todor after talking to the prison warden. Only need to find his sniper rifle left behind.

Is there any actual in game benefits for finding Occulus?

Aside for a reward for Lockpicking/hacking users by completing a quest, the area is rich in lore information, it has an almost end-game store (even better with Mercantile skill) and after returning from Deep Caverns you can get additional info about certain obnoxious cyborg and his background.

Have you seen a hallway guarded by four plasma turrets? you have to go there, but there are a few ways to avoid being incinerated:

- With Hacking you can disable the turrets for some time.
- If you have a Omni-tool (and high Lockpicking skill) or a crowbar you can go to the entertainment room and open the ventilation shaft to circunvent the turrets and proceed to the next area
- If you are ranged (Best if you possess Guns skill) you can attack the turrets individually at a safe distance and pull back the same time to not get attacked until they are destroyed
- The last resort: Run through the turrets and get to the transition area, very dangerous but adrenaline and morphine can help a lot, better if your build includes high mobility and evasion.

Maybe is not the right place but curse my curiosity: Styg will be getting a new type of armor (or unique one)?, in the video there is a kind of variant of the tactical vest which provides reduced bullet critical damage and additional fortitude.

I hoped to see the new skills and some action with the spears and machetes, good to know no more disgusting junkyard stew to get the 2+ int for crafting.
