Crit Shotgun Build Theorycrafting.

recently I was doing a playthrough following the 3 PER shotgun build found here: https://stygiansoftware.com/forums/index.php?topic=9661.0

I've gotten around halfway through, and it's pretty fun, but I got to thinking about what a good crit shotgun might look like, since it turns out I really like the feel of shotguns.

Here is something I theorycrafted might be a good build.

(sorry for messing with the url, but I just created this account and apparently I can't post links to the character builder)

I kind of wanted to use the double barrel shotgun, but I don't know if thats the optimal weapon. For equipment I was planning to use the crit googles and infused rathound leather armor, and greater siphoner leather tabis.

I am by no means a pro at this game, and I would really like some feedback on this build! Thank you!

Double Shotgun isn't bad but it's mostly a gimmick weapon. Crafted Vindicator shotgun is generally the best because it has increased crit damage bonus. Also if you use unique guns then gun nut is pointless.

Thanks for the advice!  My thought process for using the double barrel was that it had a 10% crit chance, as opposed to 4% on the vindicator. Good point on not using gun nut. I might replace it with something like Fast Metabolism or Grenadier. Cheers!
