Plasma Pistols are energy weapons. Unlike firearms, they deal half of their damage as Energy and half as Heat, but they have a slightly lower damage potential than a firearm of similar quality. Plasma pistols resemble large-caliber pistols in terms of AP cost and damage. They can use any kind of batteries as their ammo.

Compared to Laser Pistols, plasma pistols have much higher AP cost and damage per shot, lower precision and range.
