Walkthrough
If the player has joined the Grim Jetters after Professor Oldfield has been kidnapped, captain will order the player to help him with extracting the information from the professor regarding the true purpose of the expedition. If the player has joined the pirates before the kidnapping, professor can be interrogated later after the kidnapping has been triggered at any point by asking the captain about him.
Player can use Persuasion, Intimidation or beat Oldfield to make him spill the beans. Grim will ask him three questions:
1. Why are you here and what is the purpose of this expedition? - requires beating up the professor, 50 Persuasion or 30 Intimidation to get an answer.
2. Who is financing the expedition? - requires beating up the professor, 60 Persuasion or 60 Intimidation to get an answer.

Expedition has been financed by the United Stations Research and Development Fund who themselves contacted Oldfield after he failed to find sponsorship from University and Protectorate. |

The true mission of the expedition is to find a special device called an ACoNR found somewhere in the Black Sea that is supposedly capable of travelling great distances and to reach any place in the world. By learning this information, the player will be able to barter more easily for ACoNR with Grim, lowering Mercantile checks by 20 for each price. |
While beating the professor up is an easy way to extract the information, the third beating will prove lethal and cause his death. Additionally, if the player uses force or threats against him, he will no longer trust you, making it impossible to persuade him. Effectively, learning everything from him is impossible without Persuasion or Intimidation.
At any point of the discussion, player can decide to leave the professor to continue the interrogation for later. After the player returns from Abyssal Station Zero and reports back to the captain, you will return to Oldfield to finish the talk with him and discuss his release.
Unless the Aegis Incorporated forces have been significantly thinned out, after you finish the interrogation (or decide to postpone it for later), Port Ceto will be attacked by Aegis forces.
