Development Log / Re: Dev Log #7: New Armor Mechanics
« on: December 15, 2024, 02:51:59 am »
All great changes except the bodypart hit chance. Combined with grazing hits and a chance with hit low damage area by accident your damage becomes very inconsistent. Especially with single shot high damage weapons like sniper rifle of plasma pistol. I think that player should have more control over his attacks. Maybe default attack for humanoids could hit only torso and legs and to target other bodyparts you will have to use skills like aimed shot. Aimed shot could always target highest damaging bodypart for example.

Make high-Technicalities boost damage from energy edge emitters and electroshock generators on melee weapons

It would be great for any piercing attack like black arrow or pyro stream.

You telling me I can beat people equipped with metal armor to death, literally beat industrial robots to scrap, wrestle crawlers and yell so loud I make everyone terrified of my mere autistic presence, survive 20 gunshots with leather armor and dodge 100, but my fists are too weak to have a coated film of capacitor cellophane and to not explode.

Pipeworkers, all of you. Let me place firecrackers AND the CACS, I'll take the damage. These fists can brawl God and the only reason I won't beat Six to death is because Styg won't let me.

Now that's what I'm talking about. If i could I'd put firecracker on everything.

Psi beetle in a jar is labeled as a key item

Efreitor Mateo's head has weight. Inconsistent with other heads.

Stuck in a dialog screen during Gorsky's protectorate warehouse quest when spotted by multiple npcs. Or when multiple npcs try to initiate dialogue. Not sure.

For some reason Eiden did not give me special investigation belt. Unfortunately i do not have a save because i did not know he was supposed to give it.

Suggestions / Re: Let's talk about Charms
« on: March 26, 2022, 04:44:31 am »
This is amazingly retarded. Coral is a gypsy scammer but your character makes charms work anyway through sheer self-deception and datamining.

As for the topic i agree that charms need more clarity. Self persuasion dialogue options are nice but there needs to be some indication that this leads somewhere. Maybe after enough dialogue options player can get a feat called believer or something. Same with the curse.

Or place unique items/quests/dungeons behind it.
Do you mean placing content behind useless feat? I think gating content with dominating and random events is enough

Builds / Re: Which skills are near essential?
« on: March 23, 2022, 12:13:19 pm »
Missed the obvious one. Stealth. I usually get stealth 80 on every build. Even tin cans can strip sometimes.
Second obvious one is your attack skill. Always max.
Pickpocketing is a waste of points in my opinion.
Lockpicking is weaker than hacking and i usually go 50 just for the vents (fuck switching to crowbar everytime)
Throwing 70 is a must for every build pretty much.

Crafting skill are really build dependant.

Builds / Re: Returning player looking for a good build/advice
« on: March 22, 2022, 07:12:03 am »
You need to be more specific with what you want from a build. Which weapons you like. What armor. What about psi? Then you can just build around the things you like.
Where did you stop last time?
