Did not Receive Bioinvestigative Belt after completing all Insitute quests

I completed all Investigative and Preservation Quests in the Institute, and after talking to eidein and specifying that I wished to be an assistant investigator, and then specificied the department of genetics.


After leaving the conversation I check my inventory the belt is not there. I am reporting this as a possible bug.

Now that you mention it, I also did not receive this ite under the same circumstances.

I did manage to get the Tchortist Vathosphore Armor but none of the belts.

The Vathosphore armor should only be received upon joining Preservation, if I remember correctly.

Yes that is the case, but I don't receive any of the listed reward when joining any one of the three investigation sections.

Not a bug, but prone to being solved purely through wikis and forums: the lady who wants to talk to you who is located in the intersection that leads to each science department gives the belts, but you don't get explicit instructions like you do with the armor that has many paragraphs dedicated to it, and is given by a major merchant that you would talk to anyway. This is why this comes up.

Ah, I see. Yes Usha had the belt. Eidlein could have just as well pointed me to her (or Lydia or the appropriate department head) as that would  have made it more consistent and less easy to overlook.
