A long scavenger hunt for gate parts.
Objectives
- In order to repair the mechanism operating one of the large gates in the area, you would need the following: one hydro-pneumatic accumulator, one hydraulic pump drive shaft, three canisters of hydraulic fluid, one hydraulic system control valve. You would also need tools if doing the job yourself, or you could use a repair bot to perform the repairs for you.
- There is a disabled repair bot in the room housing the mechanism operating one of the large gates in the area. If you can figure out a way to fix it, it might prove useful to you.
Walkthrough
Once you make your way to the room housing the gate mechanism, examine the mechanism and the disabled repair bot to get started. You will need to scour through most of Deep Caverns to find all the necessary parts.
Figuring out what is the problem
Unless you have sufficient Mechanics (50 effective skill), you will not be able to figure out what parts need to be replaced. You will need to find TG-44HD Service Manual, found on a locker near the gate mechanism of Mutagen Tanks A gate.
Finding the parts
The required parts:
- Hydro-Pneumatic Accumulator
- HS-89 Hydraulic Pump Drive Shaft
- Hydraulic Control Valve
- 3x Hydraulic Fluid Canister
Performing the repairs
To perform the repairs yourself, you will need:
- Universal Mechanics Tool Set
- Mechanics skill of at least 115 (effective skill level)
Alternatively, you can get a Red AI Core for the repair bot from Arke Power Station. See Restore Arke powergrid.
